“This is a quintessentially English rural pub and restaurant, and I wish we had the like where I come from (Isle of Man), as we'd be in there once a week at least. Warm, comfortable, friendly, efficient, with such a great menu. My prawn salad was so beautifully presented that I took a photo of it to send home to make them jealous, and it was ENORMOUS, and I did it full justice. Mine hosts are so welcoming, and the place is child- and dog-friendly, so what's not to like? (Unless you don't like kids or dogs, of course, in which case you can sit well out of the way, as there's plenty of room.) It was a lovely evening, and very reasonably priced. Thank you.”

Relaxed, comfortable pub/restaurant
"Found this little gem of a pub/restaurant when arranging to meet up with a friend and so pleased we did. Easy parking, well today anyway, and from walking in the door to leaving the atmosphere was so good. The staff and owners friendly and caring making us feel welcome. Food and drinks well priced with option of standard or smaller portions on most items which, to me was a great idea and bonus.
A quick meet up lunch extended to a couple of hours as felt so relaxed.."
